Spicy Sticky Baked Chicken Wings
Finger-licking good chicken wings. You will be making these wings every chance you get

- 1 kg chicken wings cut in half at joint
- 2 large cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Sauce (optional)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp water
Place the chicken wings in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade
Mix the marinade into the chicken wings and refrigerate for 2 hours
Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Line a large baking tray with parchment/baking paper
Place the wings in a single layer on the tray and bake for 30-35 minutes. Baste the chicken at regular intervals, with the sauce
Halfway through cooking, turn the wings over
Sauce (optional)
Place a pan on medium heat. Add all the ingredients for the sauce and stir until the sugar dissolves. Once the wings are baked toss it in the sauce
You don't have to use the sauce, it is total optional
- If you don't like spicy you can leave out the chilli flakes and the hot sauce or reduce it
- You can turn the grill function on in the last few minutes and allow the chicken to brown a little more
- The wings are delicious with or without the sauce so it is totally optional
