Creamy Basil Mushrooms
These are the perfect mushrooms to serve on toast, if you're feeling indulgent

- 250 gram white or brown mushroom sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 large cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp dried italian herbs
- 1/3 cup fresh basil chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 1 tbsp grated parmesan
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- salt
- pepper
Heat the butter in a large pan. Add the onion and saute until translucent. Add the minced garlic and fry for a minute
Add the mushroom, dried italian herbs and the chopped basil. Fry until the mushrooms are slightly caramelized
Add the cream. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for a minute, add the parmesan and drizzle the lemon juice over
Serve hot, garnish with more fresh basil and more parmesan
- This recipe can be served with pasta, if it's for a family you can double the recipe
- Will be great with any protein too
- You can adjust the quantity of the lemon juice according to your taste
